WHAT’s ON
HANNAH DORMAN
Hannah is a singer songwriter from Guildford whose sound sits between pop, rock and acoustic, shaped by Alanis Morissette and Avril Lavigne.
Writing and playing since her teens, she's released a run of singles and EPs, including 222 with its anthemic lead track Gasoline, and has ongoing support from Melita Dennett at BBC Introducing. She's played Guilfest, RedFest and Scoutabout, and The Troubadour and Camden Barfly among plenty of others.
DOM DORAN + LIAM SEGURA
Liam and Dom are both multi-instrumentalists, playing predominantly Irish style folk. Dom also plays whistles, concertina and pipes with trad-folk trio Belver, who closed the Jester Stage at Warwick Folk Festival last year.
Expect tunes that build from a quiet start into something you'll find hard to sit still through.
SAMETIME
Sametime are brothers Sam and Tim Aitken, originally from Queensland and now based just down the road in Brighton. They started out busking and playing pubs at nine and twelve years old, spent a while performing as Hoo8Hoo, and have been building an indie-pop sound ever since. They played our most recent Summer Festival, creating such a great vibe that we had to have them back to close out the Harvest Festival.
GRAPE CRUSHING COMPETITION
The oldest way of making wine, and still the most fun. Roll up your trousers, climb into the barrel and see who can squeeze out the most juice before the clock runs out. Winner takes the glory. Everyone takes home purple feet.
CHILLI EATING COMPETITION
Not for the faint hearted. We're bringing in some incredibly hot chillies, lining up a row of brave volunteers, and seeing who can last the longest. There's usually a moment of quiet confidence at the start. It never lasts.
WILD ABOUT BRITAIN
From 1pm - 6pm, Wild About Britain are joining us for the afternoon with a close-up look at some of the country's most fascinating native species, many of which you'd be lucky to spot in the wild.
You'll meet a tawny owl and a long eared owl, a kestrel, a hedgehog, a grass snake, a smooth snake, a great crested newt and a common toad.
Their team will be on hand throughout to talk you through each animal, how they live and the part they play in the British countryside.
It's a rare chance to see these species up close and one for curious kids and grown-ups alike. No booking needed, just come and find them on the day.
Bucking Bronco
Eight seconds sounds like nothing until you're up there. Climb on, hold tight and see how long you last before the inevitable. There's no dignified way off a bucking bronco, which is rather the point.
AXE THROWING + CLASSIC FETE GAMES
Classic fete games are back, so expect the usual suspects and a few challenges worth having a go at, whether or not you fancy your chances. And for something with a bit more heft, the Bearded Axe Bros are joining us for the day with their axe throwing. Full instruction, all the kit, and a target that's more satisfying to hit than you'd think.
BOUNCY CASTLE, FACE PAINTING + TRACTOR RIDES
There's plenty to keep the little ones going all day. A bouncy castle, face painting and tractor rides out through the vines, but of course are welcome to do all as well.
EAT + DRINK
All the food on the day is coming from our own chef team, cooked on site. Think pulled pork, smoked brisket, veggie chilli and pizzas, with a candyfloss machine and loaded cookies for anyone with room left. On the drinks side there's plenty of Kinsbrook wine, of course, alongside all the usual staples for those who'd rather have something else.
ENTRY
Please make sure you have made your ticket or QR code available offline, as signal at the vineyard varies, and you may be refused entry without it.
Please note, we will not allow any external food or drink to be brought in to the festival. Please do not attempt to bring your own food or drink or it will be confiscated.
PARKING
Parking is available onsite and is available free of charge.
Our team will be on hand to guide you to the best available space on arrival. Cars may be left overnight at your own risk if needed, but please ensure you pre-book your taxi home. You can find details of our recommended local taxi services on our website here.
In the interest of sustainability and minimising our environmental impact, we encourage guests to car share wherever possible.
GETTING HERE
If you're driving, please make sure you enter the full first line of our address 'Kinsbrook Vineyard' or 'Kinsbrook Vineyard, Restaurant, Deli & Shop' into your sat nav. If you only enter our postcode, it may take you to the wrong location 10 minutes down the road. For more info about how to find us, click here.
Please be aware the festival entrance is different to our normal entrance.
If you are coming from the B2139 (Coolham Road), drive past the normal entrance, and approximately 250m down the road there will be a sign directing you to festival parking.
If you are coming from West Chiltington (West Chiltington Road), the entrance to the festival is located passed the Lower Voakes Farm bus stop. Keep going northeast up the road, until you arrive at the sign directing you to festival parking.
If you're getting the train, please check the taxi and train info out on our website in advance and make sure you pre-book taxis from the station to get here and to get home afterwards. This is very important as it can be difficult to call a taxi around here, especially on weekend days, so it's essential these are booked in advance.
