Chardonnay 2022
The Chardonnay fruit in this wine was initially intended for sparkling production, but it was such a strong year for this variety that we couldn’t not make a still.
A summer heatwave ripened the berries to the point that their tops were sun-tanned and bursting with sugar and acidity. Extended hang-time has resulted in an exciting, clarity-driven wine.
Our ‘22 harvest really showed us why Chardonnay deserves its status as a national favourite.
