'Three'
White Blend
10.5% ABV
The third in our 2024 series, ‘Three’ is a celebration of the art of blending, ageing and oaking. 2024 was quite the growing season to navigate; it marked the second-most challenging farming year on record and perhaps the wettest Summer in living memory. It was clear that 2024 would be a year for sparkling wine production, which favours acidity. However, some parcels of fruit were exceptionally ripe, so we chose to make a standalone series of three still wines, each showcasing different winemaking techniques.
‘Three’ is a blend of Bacchus, Reichensteiner, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, incorporating a small amount of ‘One’ and ‘Two’, our other 2024 wines, into the mix. A portion of the Bacchus and Chardonnay spent 16 months in reconditioned French oak barrels, which lends the wine a subtle, sexy smoothness. There is a real magic in blending - it allows you to build layer upon layer of flavour, texture and aroma to create something totally unique and undeniably complex.
