Pinot Meunier / Pinot Noir Rose

The second wine in our 2024 series, ‘Two’ is a peachy orange skin-contact rose, which is texture and body focused. 2024 was the second-most challenging farming year on record, with biblical rain and high humidity throughout the Summer months. We harvested by hand and put most of our tonnage towards sparkling wine production, which does very well with higher acid fruit. However, we also chose to take some special parcels to make a standalone series of three still wines, each showcasing different winemaking techniques.
‘Two’ makes a strong argument for the power of skin-contact and ageing. A blend of Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, it spent extended time on the fine lees in tank to increase the body and richness. The resulting texture is counterbalanced with the Pinot’s red fruit component, creating a foodie’s rose that’s here for a good time - and a long time.
